New Plasma Cutting Table Improves Efficiency, Cost, and Quality
Used to load and unload freight with a forklift at loading docks, Bluff Manufacturing offers a variety of dock boards to suit most purposes. Steel dock boards provide a safe ramp for heavy-duty loading dock applications and feature all-welded steel construction for capacities of 15,000 to 60,000 pounds. Aluminum dock boards are ideal for low to medium volume dock loading applications with capacities ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 pounds.
Dock plates are rectangles of steel or aluminum with locking leg and either hand hole or handles to move them. They differ from dock boards in that plates are NEVER used for power equipment, but are made for manually moving freight with a hand truck or pallet jack. A dock plate is an ideal solution to bridge the gap between trucks, trailers and loading docks. They offer the lightest and most cost effective answer to your loading / unloading needs.
Dock levelers are the perfect choice when the original building did not include pit mounted levelers. Designed to correct height differences between loading docks, loading platforms and truck or trailer beds, Bluff's edge-of-dock leveler is designed to have a working range of five inches above and below dock level with capacities from 20,000 to 30,000 pounds. Dock levelers are for forklift truck use and not recommended for use with pallet jacks or stackers.
Yard ramps are a safe and cost effective answer to many loading dock needs. Bluff Manufacturing acquired the rights to manufacture yard ramps in 1991. At that time, yard ramps were made exclusively of aluminum. Bluff Manufacturing quickly converted the design to steel, which is the standard today. Designed to facilitate traffic from the ground up into a truck bed, from the ground onto a loading dock, or from the ground onto a rail car, Bluff Manufacturing offers stationary, portable and mini yard ramps to suit all purposes.
